It's a beautiful image that matches the lovely imagery painted by your words. I really liked the concept of the "bright and cheerful moon" disregarding your sorrow. Nicely done.

-A well written poem deserving of the extra star, Sanku.
-I like the title and the nature imagery.
-You set the scene very well in verse one.
-My favorite line is
"played hide and seek with floating clouds."
-I also like the personification of the moon
and how you bring the title into the poem.
-You do a good job showing the mood in the last verse.
-Very well done!!!

A poignant and melancholy poem. Sometimes everything around us is bright and cheerful and we may just want to be left alone to mourn or grieve or just have a putty party.
Very nicely done.
Blessings

This is a lovely poem and the companion artwork is well suited. It's rather spooky and give me a lonesome feeling. It reminds me of the dirt road in front of my childhood home. I walked it many times under similar circumstances and under a moonlit sky.

Yes, it is loneliness. I got that. Well done.

I enjoyed this bittersweet interpretation of the club artwork. There are times when we just want to be left alone with our sadness - to privately let it flow - uninhibited. Unfortunately, the moon was on a high and did not notice...

Yes this scene is a bright moonlit night even if it is damp and raining and sometimes we would rather be unseen in our grief and sorrow, I can identify with your words here, love Dolly x

Hello, Sanku!
Just lovely!
Poignant as well, especially the last stanza:
For once I wished for a dark sky
moonless and starless
to leave me alone to let my
tears flow unseen.
Thank you for sharing!

A sad, melodic poem that captured my imagination immediately.
I was impressed with this excellent offering, superb wording, which is the basis of any good write. Good depiction of your thesis which followed the whole way through.

A very moving poem. Thoughtfully written, and a creative way to approach the prompt image. I thought it was excellent in the way you created the night atmosphere. The moon is usually considered to offer comfort, and soft light, but here you have portrayed it as an unwanted, overly cheerful tease, playing games you could not appreciate or delight in. Well done.

Comment from Gloria ....
Great atmosphere in your free verse. I think your poem addresses very succinctly the gloom of this misty artwork.
A pleasure to read and review, and a fine contribution to the Picture This Club.
