Wait A Minute! Winter Again?

Much to my chagrin, Winter has come again!

I loved the anti-winter sentiment shared in this piece. As someone who lives in the tropics, I can relate well to "life with no cold never grows old" -- that's a lovely expression, never thought of it that way but captures so much so well.

The sentences flow well despite the constraint of the form and that's unusual. You really have a gift for words, poetry and humor!

I like you! My wife does not say that many nice things to me in a year! BTW, that is the pool in our backyard. Very deprssing sight from our bedroom window. We sold that house last September. Thanks for the 6, but even more, for the honor of friendship. Means a bunch.

Warning, I about to enter a poem in a spiritual contest. I do so once every couple of years and this was a good way to say my way. I know you believe differently, so do no worry that you will be constantly reminded. As you have seen, my writings fall somewhere between Dr. Suess and Archie Bunker.

Welcome home, Reese, wherever your journey has you settled at the moment. I'm in total agreement. We are in for a cold and expensive winter in the northeast and expecting electricity blackouts as well. Thanks for the little bit of humor to offset the severity of the situation.

Ahhhh, nothing like a nice note from a dear friend to warm these old bones on a winter's day! Yes, we are back in SE Texas, at a RV camp near the Galveston beach, but I would have to dress like Nah-Noo of the Klondike to walk over. Just miserable cold and rain. Put me in a perfect mood to write for a Minute. Composed in 4 minutes, fired by inspiration. Hope the Season finds y'all reasons to be very Thankful, and in good health. I am entering that friends and family Christmas card thing and I believe it will bring a smile. God Bless and wishes to someday meet...

So nice to near you have circled back to home base. I'll look for your Christmas Letter. Be sure to read Douglas Goff's entry. I think he's new since you went on sabbatical.

The Speaker in this Minute poem could be me as I was shrieking those same words this past weekend. I, too, hate Winter's cold and could do without this season entirely.
Some clever use of rhyme.
Congrats on your milestone!

Some people worry and fret over global warming... To me, it seems Winter is coming around too strong, too early and even too often. We are kindred spirits in our love of life in warm places. Thanks for stopping by my campfire. May your Thanksgiving be warm and tasty.
