Oh, I love the metaphor employed in this senryu, the stream of my troubles is consistent with the visual image of stepping stones. The last line sealed the message of the author. Thanks for sharing.

-Very nice artwork and presentation, Sanku.
-The syllable count is good, along with the topic.
-The imagery is very good with "stepping stones
in the stream..."
-Effective use of alliteration, as well.
-A very good concluding line.
-Good luck in the contest.

Hello, Sanku,
Excellent Senryu for our Japanese Poetry club event. It has a zen feeling to it. Great metaphor of God's love creating stepping stones in your life's path to help you get along. I love the presentation and the satori about God's hands. It reminded me of Michelangelo's 'creation of adam'. Good syllable count and connection between lines. Well done!

The Bible writes of the narrow road and the broad road, of course you've cleverly written of the troubles as a stream and those stepping stones of safety we can choose to walk. This is a wonderful modern haiku Santha, well done, blessings Roy

Love this poem about the Lord watching over us even in the "streams of trouble," He placed stones where we can walk and He keeps holding on to our hands to help us.

Perfect description of God's help available for us. I never thought of it as steppingstones, but it is. I love it. Yes, we have trouble, God is there to help us through it. Thank you for sharing this club entry with us.
