WHOA! Ali is one tough cookie (whatever the heck that means)! Your brilliance comes with having Pat Rogers make his inane comment early on. It would only have been better if he made in front of a jury. But Ali handled it well by not commenting at the time, but waiting until Pat and his attorney showed no interest in settling on 100 thousand each. A beautiful scene, Barbara.

Ali seems in charge as she and the women accusers meet with Pat and his attorney. Pat doesn't do himself any favors when he says, "They enjoyed it. I did them a favor." His lawyer should have told him to put a sock in it. It's good the women all showed up and are ready to stand up against Pat. I like the use of "What would you say if I told you...?" Good lawyer strategy. Maybe she has the evidence, maybe she doesn't.
Excellent characterization. Great chapter. judi

Ali seems in charge as she and the women accusers meet with Pat and his attorney. Pat doesn't do himself any favors when he says, "They enjoyed it. I did them a favor." His lawyer should have told him to put a sock in it. It's good the women all showed up and are ready to stand up against Pat. I like the use of "What would you say if I told you...?" Good lawyer strategy. Maybe she has the evidence, maybe she doesn't.

Another well crafted chapter, that went exactly like it should, given the type of novel this is. Everything seemed to flow and follow the author's design. Pat behaved and spoke out as his character design dictates in this type of story. His lawyer also behaved as expected.

Stupid people allow their emotions to get the better of themselves and they wrongly and stupidly say things in front of competent lawyers that can and will be used against them. Being successful in legal matters involve maintaining your composure at all times. Wonderful chapter.
