This is kind of strange. It is classified as poetry but reads like prose. I enjoyed reading it but found it a little hard. You need more space between paragraphs as it is all jumbled together. It is very intriguing but needs some editing.

prettyblubird: It is an essay but being a part of my Poetry book, "Random Reflections", it got labeled as poetry. I have to find a way to change that. I am sure it needs to be edited again. Writing in modern style is hard for me. Educated in the British system sometimes my language gets confusing even though it is grammatically correct and then spelling and selection of word is also becoming difficult for me as I am aging. If you have any suggestions, or found errors, please direct me. Thanks for your generous ranking and encouraging comments. All the best.

Seems more like a book than a poem. Having said that, it is an interesting read

There are some "million" word long paragraphs, especially the first one.

Still, it was interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Douglas: Hi. It is an essay, but being a part of my Poetry book, "Random Reflections", it got labeled as poetry. I have to find a way to change that. I am trying to be more precise but having educated in the British style of English, I am more wordy and tend to write like the authors of 19th and 20th centuries. Doing my best to learn how to express with short sentences and precision. I appreciate your encouraging comment and ranking. All the best.

Doctor Ricky: My gratitude for your encouraging remark and ratings. I received a 'Good' rating from another reader and because of that critical review, I edited the essay 4 times. Watching our news and thinking about where this human race is taking this planet, I began thinking about Quo Vadis. My best regards.
    Sincerely,

Thanks Doctor Ricky: I was inspired by the story itself. We often don't realize how we too come to face that question Quo Vadis. I appreciate your comments very much.

Thank you for sharing. I felt that the narrator's voice was strong and consistent all the way through the text. I thought that I understood the narrator's point of view. The piece also seemed to flow well. I got confused with the sentence that begins with "However." It's in the beginning paragraph. I think there is an extra word in the sentence, but I liked the imagery of the gum sticking to the shoe. Well done.
