A wonderful, beautiful sonnet that actually brought tears to my eyes as I contemplated the serious meaning behind your well-chosen words. This amazing poem is full of rich meaning, love, generosity, praise and worship and I hope you will get it published. I especially liked these lines for their exciting exuberance:
"Rise up! Delight the stars! Amuse the Pure!
Defeat deaths' chains, rejoice absolved, exhumed."
Thank you for this... not only the beautiful poem but also for the feelings it brought to me.

MM, I find myself wordless. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and validation. While your thought of this being published, I would not have any idea what this would entail, but, your wonderful comments are a personal gift, blessings always, JLR

I'm just wondering how those that reject God can be granted, it requires faith, believe that He is, it's like one of our own children rejecting us Jim, we can't force them to live with us. But I agree those that aren't aware of God, be granted insight. Beautifully written Jim, this is a beautifully written sonnet, blessings Roy

Roy, my friend, I always pray that my prayers reach thode who do not have ears to hear and eyes to see that the Lamp of God's promise might someday be revealed.

Well done. These verses answered the prompt aptly. Good use of prayerful writing imagery, concise use of chosen vocabulary. The graphic also worked well for this reader. I hope you keep on writing for poet's glory.

A deep poem of faith, praying for salvation and humbly asking the One Who has defeated death and absolved us of our sins.

I knell this day, my vows sincere, Oh Lord, (kneel)

I think you succeeded with the iambic meter except for the first foot:
"Grant them" which can be easily remedied with "O Grant"

Oh man, you really tore the butt out of that sonnet. This is really good and unique. Felt a lot like one of the pleading Psalms from David.

Enjoyed it immensely.
Thank you!

This sonnet, Requiem, has the proper formatting and finds the sainted soul calling out to God to throw a wider net and bring all the people in when the final day comes.

Hi Jim. What a wonderful poem and so full of heartfelt emotions and meaning. I also seek the Lord for salvation for those that are lost... it is a privilege to pray for the lost. I would mention that the world 'kneel' is misspelled. Hugs!
