What? Two women who outsmarted an entire gender? Nooo. Why, that couldn't POSSIBLY be the case!! Women would NEVER do something like this! You horrible Y-chromosome, you! How could you even suggest it, even in fiction form?! As a woman --always forthright, never stooping to use my wiles to achieve my goals, nothing more complex than "the fairer sex"-- I am both crushed and appalled by this story. Please print a retraction at once. (I'm simultaneously batting my lashes and unbuttoning to my decolletege...)

Both women were in on the ruse to scam the money out of the organization.
Like Betsy's boss stated sometimes reporters are the scammers.
In this case no one saw her involvement coming.
However, the topic should have been the tip-off to the rip-off.

We have an advertising campaign running in Britain at the moment which is broadcast on the radio to encourage men to fight against intimidation of women on public transport and out on the street. It encourages men to support women who find themselves in a vulnerable situation. I was surprised by this Government run campaign and it is obviously something that is needed in America too. It is a pity that in your story here another woman took advantage of this situation, a fine post Terry, love Dolly x

This is very amusing. Aren't people, especially women devious? And crooked of course. The only thing I didn't like was the abbreviations. I know you have to use them, but please put a little glossary in the notes (easier to use than keep scanning through the story...) Kate xx
