Ali always has to make things more complicated than they are. If she wants to be with Cord, all she has to decide. It sounds like she's virtually given up on her job and her life in NY. Anthony seems more than a limousine driver. He also happens to be a part of what's going on. He has good timing. The carriage ride sounds so romantic. I hope Ali will get over her misgivings about her future. It looks like it belongs in Texas. Fun that Cord's mother is also part of the conspiracy to bring Cord and Ali together. Great work. Your "It was decided" makes it sound like someone other than Ali and Cord did the deciding. I think active voice would be best. judi

You're very welcome. Despite her ties to NYC, Ali seems to be finding satisfaction helping those women who were abused by Pat. That may sound more meaningful to her than the corporate work. Cord will be able to win her over, but I'm wondering what it will take to get Ali to see it. judi

I am really impressed at the skillful way you are advancing their relationship. Nothing seems or feels rushed. I like the way Cordero is handling his mother's desire to speed things up, the concern Cord has of the eventuality of their being separated by Ali's return to her life in the city. This is truly good writing and story craft.
