This is a great thought, Wendy, good entry for the contest. So glad we can trust the Lord to lead us, every day.

This 2-4-2, Who Wins?, has the right setup and asks whether we are more assured of success after this life or simply living as God intended and expecting the best rfesult.

Thank you Bill. Many think they can make or twist the rules for their own advancement. God sees the heart.

So true Wendy, so true! What a harsh but truthful fact written so well in this tiny poem. And your image makes me chuckle. So many people (students I teach) make this their motto, and then they are so guffawed when the world hands them...well, what the world will hand out...hardships and pain.

Thank you Michaela. Yes that happens ? and other times they get away with it and think they are winners, and are esteemed. But God knows the heart.

Hi Wendy,
Good entry for the 2-4-2 contest! It reminded me of the time I played some golf with my boss at Moosehead. I stick to the rules even though I rarely play the game. But he was kicking his ball into a better spot all the time. He just wasn't playing seriously. I guess it just surprised me.
Good Luck in the contest!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Yes ,it?s those little things which show a person?s true character, and "must win" mentality. Thanks so much for a supportive review and good wishes.

Yes, and it's all about Him! So we don't have to worry about the winning or losing because everything is in His control. Praise Jesus that with Him, we are more than conquerors! Best wishes in the contest!

Exactly! We don?t need to be competitive down here, nor do we need to do a bit of rule-bending or rule-making, for then we would be losers. He knows our hearts, and our goal is to please Him not to win earthly accolades. Thanks for a super review.

I've never quite got the reason for bending rules, does that mean that one doesn't like rules? Because they really aren't convenient I think. Heh heh. Beautifully written entry in this contest Wendy, good luck, blessings Roy

People bend rules (or make them) to advance themselves and their own interests. Thanks Roy for reviewing. Appreciated.

God is the ultimate rule maker. I don't know about Australia, I've read articles, but never know if it's true or not so won't comment. In the US some people are making their own rules and getting by with it. It's turned into chaios. I enjoyed enjoyed reading your contest entry and wish you the best of luck with the contest.

    Thank you very much Barbara.
It?s right at the heart of man, back to Adam and Eve, to try to twist rules and make up one?s own?. And think they are are winners.
Thanks too for your good wishes.

Really good entry for the contest, Wendy. Also, very good notes at the end. It is very difficult to put forth a message in a really short poem, but you have done it.

Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate it. Yes it is quite hard, with so few syllables, to say something both sensible and meaningful.

The most important game that we play - life's game. Yes, God knows, but I think you are also saying that those who follow God's rules win, and those who choose to ignore them will lose.

A fine entry for this very tough prompt. I wish you luck, my friend.

Thank you very much Pam. I am saying that, yes, but there are a few layers of interpretation. Thanks for your good wishes as well as a thoughtful review.

Clever observation! We know the ones who bellow the loudest about being the winners are listening to their inner fan!

Ah, thank you, a very well-worded review! They think no-one notices a bit of rule-breaking or twisting, or that they play by their own rules.

They do seem to think rules don't apply to them. Ah, but they are so misguided!
