I love this poem, simply rhymed but so elegantly written and presented. That's so true. I guess that's what we're trying to do, share what we see and think. This is a lovely quatrain, with such good rhyming and other poetic devices. I'm never sure about consonance, I feel there's plenty here.

rhymes worked well. The flow was smooth, and the message
was clear. Old writers all have many stories to tell. I could
see them with pen in hand doing just as you wrote--great
imagery. The image worked well, too. The leaves were
young at one time, but now they have changed with a story
of their won.
