I like how you have used several figures of speech. The metaphor is the crux of the message. As I read this aloud, I could hear the s's to be like a form of whistling through the teeth. Well done.

Joan, this is a unique slant on taking an afternoon walk. Very clever use of art to showcase your point. I enjoy a nature "scavenger hunt" sometimes... especially in the fall when I want to decorate with natural things. Great job.

Sometimes I think that we have some folk would Carry their old "treasures" with them wherever they travelled, perhaps not on a casual stroll. I think that most of us may qualify, beautifully written Joan, good luck, blessings Roy

Thanks for the review, Roy. Those that wouldn't fit the casual stroll of the homeless who carry or push all they own in a cart.

That's funny! I am guilty of picking flowers, rocks and shells. But not butterflies or bugs. I think these days people should not be "looting nature" but going into nature to remove trash and plant trees.
