I enjoyed your writing about bowling. You show the benefits of the sport for socializing and health benefits.
I have been bowling for years, but at Candlepin, bowling is not as active as ten pins, but I enjoy the league.

The balls are smaller 2 to 3lbs weight.
You get to throw 3 balls. knock the pins in 2 balls is a spare, one is a strike. (Both are rare occurrences in my bowling.)

Wow, that much more difficult than regular bowling, although three throws would be welcome.
Do you live in a country other than the US? I never have heard of this game being available around my location.

It is popular in the Northeast of the United States. It is hard here to find 10 pin. I am surprised it never gained popularity nationwide.
I am in Massachusetts. Years ago, they even had a local Saturday TV show, I think it was called Bowling for Dollars, where the best bowlers would compete. My dad watched it every Saturday.

Good

Quite honestly, after reading this poem I personally felt the platform of a little short story would have been more appropriate. The story is good but I wasn't thrilled with the delivery. Another platform would offer the ability to inject 'quips, humor and such' that you continue to experience with your new hobby. That's just me. 4 strikes in a 5 strike game is pretty darn good.

Wow, I need to take up bowling. Never new it could do all that. Always an activity that is fun...But it ofte comes with some chicken wings and fries..,Oh well....

- As a free verse poem, it really suits the topic you wish to cover and information to convey.
-You may want to take a second look at stanza, 4th line, engage in....?
