My dear elder child transferred her residence to Queensland, being subtropical they are more prone to cyclones etc than we ate here, but generally speaking it's much more likely to warm weather there. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

A very well-written poem in rhyme and subject.
While I have many relatives there. I have no desire either to live there. Like all popular tourist states, overcrowding and weather do not make it paradise.
Best wishes
Mary

Hi Jay,
This poem has good flow and unforced rhyme. I think a lot of snowbirds are seniors. But I guess would still seem young to you. I agree with you about moving to Florida, or any state that could get hit by a hurricane. But hurricanes are out of season when snow birds go to Florida.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Joan

Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem with us. I have a son and his family live in Florida. I have no desire to move there either. I enjoyed reading your poem.

Thank you for drawing our attention to the hurricane in Florida. Yes, young people can deal better with those storms, although many moved to Florida to retire. Glad you are content with where you are.

I'm now to old to make that change (too)

First off , prayers to those affected by this terrible storm. Second, your poem was personal and well written. The bouncy rhythm was perfect for the upbeat message. I really enjoyed this. Gretchen

You did a great job with your poem. I enjoyed reading it.
You made a great point of liking where you live. Of course,
Florida is a popular choice to visit or retire. You made several
good points for both reasons.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

I totally agree with you Bill. They can have Florida.
I hear that last storm was a dilly. What was that old saying? "It's not good to mess with Mother Nature?" I can't remember what that was all about. LOL Who was doing that? Nancy:)
