Watching the news and seeing the destruction that Ian left behind was heartbreaking to say the least.
My brother lives in Tampa, and thankfully he was spared.
I hope Florida does not see a hurricane for a very ling time.

Florida is a beautiful state, with sunshine, palm trees, beaches, and resorts. Six months of the year is hurricane season, but six months are a total delight. It's good your weather suits you to a tee, because you are where you ought to be. Delightful poem.

Florida is indeed beautiful, I have been a few times and at one time my husband and I were thinking of buying a house there. I know it is popular with retirees.

Hello Jaybird, a timely poem. Yes, many people flock to Florida for all types of reasons--not just the sunshine, but low taxes.
Of special note:
I'm now to old to make that change
and go to where the storm clouds range.
So, I'll stay here, all through my time.
I need no longer hills to climb.
