I got a laugh out of this story. That is a prime example of man-logic. I don't know what's funnier: that he wouldn't use your remote, or that you didn't need a remote at all. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Sometimes as we get older we just don't take the time to think things out. All that knowledge that we've accumulated, and most of the time it's filed away for safekeeping, when we can remember where we put it. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Lol. Yes, remembering is always the "key".
Someone just mentioned that if you lock the car with the remote fob, and then try to open the door with a key, the alarm goes off. Now, how is that either helpful or logical! Thanks so much for reviewing.

Man logic is an oxymoron. Lol. It must make perfect sense to them but not to me. I sense that in your husband's case, he just wanted to make that darned thing work. No matter how many tries it took. This was funny and I loved it. I felt your anxiety. Gretchen

Thank you Gretchen, A super review. Men and women are definitely from different planets when it comes to logic! Glad you enjoyed it.

I "enjoyed" your problem from a good distance. ; ) You are right. There is absolutely no explaining "men logic." I'm glad that Sunny was not locked in the car though!

Thank you Verna. Yes, so glad Sunny wasn?t in the car. He generally needed to get out quickly during our trip. I would never leave him in the car anyway, although many people do that, and leave the windows down a bit. Too risky.

Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. I completely understand and it must be a man thing. The same with asking for directions. I have the habit of locking my keys in the car. The car I own now had a push button combination. I just need to remember the combination. LOL

Thanks so much Barbara. Great review. The funny thing is that even I didn?t notice the key entry, although some-one said that if you lock it with the remote fob but then try to open it with the key, it sets off the alarm. If so, that is not helpful either!
Whatever we own these days there is something to remember - passwords, number combinations?..

Good Lord, Wendy!
Now... I have been more than happily married to my beloved husband for 43+ years, and I imagine I have learned to adjust to a few of his examples of "man's logic," but I must share with you that I would not be a fan of the logic of your best friend! Woah! You have the patience of Job.
A delightful and realistic rendering that brought a smile to me on a cold and rainy Thursday!
Much enjoyed!
Thank you for sharing!

Thanks so much Diane. I appreciate your fun review. He calls it "using initiative"! Lol.

Wendy,
What fun! I can definitely see why you were puzzled, though. Now that I'm using a remote starter fob, I don't even have a key at all! So
I still would be out of luck! I love the fact it was the 'modern' kid who figured things out, though. hahaha Surprised they even know about car keys anymore! "WHAT? You mean cars used to have KEYS??!!!"
Thanks a bunch!

Yes, true. His parents have a car without a key. I can?t get my head around that!
Thanks so much for a super review.

Not thinking to use the regular key is kind of like not thinking outside the box. I am having that problem more and more as I get older. That's why we have grandchildren.

Lol. Yes, they do come in handy. The surprising thing is firstly that we didn?t check the door itself, bring so used too using the remote fob, and secondly that a modern kid would think of it, when his own parents? car is a new-dangled one that doesn?t have a key, which I find it hard to get my head around!
Thanks so much for reviewing. Always good to hear from you.

Very nicely written. Good story.
What, no window breaking rocks handy?
We bought a used car with only one FOB. A spare cost over $200 (U.S.)
Best wishes.

First of all, I love your grandson's comment, "Like in the olden days." Yes, the "olden days" - 10 or 15 years ago, lol!
What a funny story from a little slice of your life, made believable because we've all had similar dumb things happen to us. Can't explain the "man thing" though; I'm betting there are men who struggle to explain our logic, as well.
Entertaining read, Wendy:-)

Lol. Yes, that?s the olden says, anything before he was born. But I felt such a dill!
Yes, I think man-logic and woman-logic are like parallel lines, not intersecting.
Thanks so much for a super review. Appreciated.
How are you re the hurricane? It?s still passing through? Be safe.

Ian is still south and east of us, but it's been raining for 24 hours and lots of wind. It will get worse through the day and night but is supposed to clear out quickly tomorrow. (So we can then clean up the mess it's leaving behind.)
