what a lovely thing - to be content with one's self and life.
I won't say "lucky you," because you did it; you accomplished what you set out to be, so good for you and congratulations! I don't think many people can say that, or, what do I know? Maybe they can.

Your contest entry red well, Harry. I enjoyed reading it.
You gave readers much to think about in themselves
as you discussed you becoming you. Yes, there are too
many who live for others when s/he should be the unique
individual God planned.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

Thanks for your entry, and good luck. your words resonate The Word and as I have found to ease your troubles help another ease theirs first and your will become unconsequential.

This is well-written, but it is vague. I wanted to know more, and that's never bad when someone is reading what you are writing. You tell us about you using generalities that could apply to any decent person. I leave this writing wondering what makes you unique. What are your favorite things besides being a good human and Christian? What goals do you have.? How long have you been writing? Who are those you hold dear? For me this essay only scratches the surface of your essence.

Thanks for your read and critique. I will consider your concerns and attempt to answer some of your questions. My attempt was to say that I have to make decisions about life based upon what in my heart I believe is the right thing to do. I thought getting very personal would detract from the thinking of the reader regarding the course of action he/she would take in terms of the Who they would wish to become and to realize one is always in the process of becoming.

You are welcome. I see your point, but I feel some personal details about what shaped your mindset would interest the reader. The becoming of you should show what shaped you..you personally. If I read your essay, it could fit a million nice men. However, there is something about you that is uniquely you.

This is a lot of interesting self reflection. There are some very distracting gaps and breaks in the story, especially in the beginning. Sometimes only the readers can see them. If you cut and paste and put back into word, then straighten it out there and cut and paste back to entry that usually fixes those 'invisible' to author issues.
