This is a delightful children's story that reminded me of my daughter's many stuffed animals when she was young. I especially liked the warm relationship Tommy had with his grandmother as she kept Stiches stuffed and in top condition. I also liked the happy ending knowing Stiches would continue to spread his magic.

How lovely, giving life to a stuffed toy. Oh yes indeed, I don't ever remember having one, but it doesn't mean I don't appreciate the thrust of your story, it talks of the cycle of life that comes to all of us, and that business in between that we have. I loved this John, excellent job, blessings Roy

That was a lovely children's story, John, a few illustrations and it would be a winner for Christmas presents. I'm so pleased the little boy spotted Silk Stiches, and now the little stuffed raccoon is loved once more. What a delightful story! Well done, my friend, a well deserved 6 stars. :)) Sandra xx

This is a delightful story, John! I felt like I was watching a short film - perhaps animated. I loved how you showed the passage of time from Stiches' point of view and you took us through a child's growth to adulthood and parenthood from the tender beginnings with Grandma bestowing the gift of magic!

This story touched my heart. Each of my four boys have shared their favorite stuffed toy with their children, their daughters actually. Thank you for sharing.

She moved Tommy's blonde bangs to one side and held him tight. & stare at him every night before bed or the straight blonde hair that tickled his snout when the two of them snuggled on Grandma's lap. (For a man it's 'blond' no e)

A heartwarming and uplifting story about the circle of life and magic within family relationships through toys and memories. Well drafted and very well done.

Silk Stitches is a story that shows us that magic is patient. When we, as adults, forget because we are too involved in our daily lives. Magic waits to be invited back. It just takes a child to remind us.

A-h-h a tale of life and living and empty-nesting as it happens, almost- tugs at the heartstrings - nostalgia is stitched beautifully into the flowing lines. Such an enjoyable read.

This is a most beautiful story, and all the better for being creative fact rather than real fiction. It's impeccably written and beautifully presented. My strongest feeling was one of sadness at the uncaring unkindness of pre-teens and teenagers. Happily they do grow out of it in the end and come back to recognise the true values in life. Well, most of them, anyway. Kate xx

A wonderful story, beautifully written. (I was delighted recently to see my young granddaughter holing my son's toy stuffed monkey that he'd had from about two years old.) Very special and moving. Thank you so much for sharing this one.
