Good presentation on this one for a horrific event. Falling down a full flight of stairs can case severe breakages, even a neck. You have a strange sense of humour in my opinion. Kate xx

As it was my stupidity that caused the fall, thankfully with no serious injury, I can see the funny side of it now. Definitely not at the time though.

Aided by its funny accompanying cartoon, "Leaving the Nest" is a very brief poem about a shocking experience, probably a fall on a stairway. After seeing things "upside down," the narrator "Flew like an eagle." I think it would've added some humor to have added 'For about a second.'
