Wonderful poem of faith, Roy! I especially liked:
"Christ gave His name in serving truth,
yet I served sin in raging youth.
But folly flees when fear is tamed.
In serving truth Christ gave His name."
What an amazing God Who saved us and adopted us!

This one was especially beautiful, so true and I love the use of homophones of the sun and The Son! And then how you showed them both shining light. I love all your descriptive words, of the mountains falling are end time signs. I served sin in raging youth, just had to be about me as well. Youth was definitely spent looking forward to the next good time. Who will answer the call, surely you my friend and I pray that I too will withstand satan's last attempt to conquer us before being thrown into the pit forever more. Each poem of yours is like spending that time in fellowship with you and opens the heart a little wider to let the Son shine in.
Thank you for this lovely poem my dear friend.

I feel the same. He must've chose me as a little one because I have escaped death so many times. I'm blessed with His love and filled with the Holy Spirit. Sending you my best today as always for this marvelous poem,

Hi Roy. The rhythm and flow was easy and elegant. The thoughts expressed somehow seem to be flowing through my life too at the moment. God is no surprise, but everything made available if you look, is! Hope you and the missus are well. xoxo deborah

Roy,
Your beautiful poem glorifies God, and shows us in our hour of need we can turn to Him.
Your last Stanza sums up what being saved is all about. Jesus calls us, though we are not worthy, and He sets us free.
I like what you say about your light shining outwardly.
Good luck with this and all your writing, Roy.
The photo is exceptional too. It helps make your poem memorable.
Blessings,
Cindy

A beautiful picture. The poem flows well. The rhyme scheme is tight and the rhymes unforced. The poem stays on point. I particularly like the last verse where the first line is stated almost in reverse as the last line. It serves as almost a refrain without quite being one. Drives the point home.
Thanks for sharing.

I found this verse inspirational.
The message to me is that no matter your way of life, be it
sinful, or honest, faith can find you.
It must be received and cherished.
I think faith, no matter the form it comes in, can guide all of us to a better way of life.
I appreciated this important post.
