Amazing!! I'm a huge fan of images that capture exactly what the story shares, and WOW! I used to take photos to accompany my poetry I wrote 15+ years ago, I don't do is as often as I should but you've inspired me to get back to writing more and sharing something with others I'd forgotten I loved so much. Your poem is excellent in itself, an innocent description of the scenario to ease one's mind and create a cute interaction to justify the gruesome truth behind what's actually going on. Then you make the reader aware that subconsciously you know the truth... and it's shared in such a direct and prominent yet still somehow subtle way. Best poem read thus far today! Great job!
