This is a well written story. The scene setting, descriptive language, and stereotypes for the detectives, portray a very confused victim.

The mystery lingers, but it doesn't seem like anyone will aid the character to uncover what really happened that night.

Nicely done.

Thank you so much, Thesis, for your kind words and generous review. I tried to create many questions, with few answers, hoping to make readers think and decide where they want the story to go. Thanks for taking time to read and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Much appreciated!

Ric, Good one, do we have another series going here? There are too many unanswered questions for this to end. Your writing is fast-paced, fun, and has great word choices, and is excellent as usual. Good work. Terry.

Thank you, Terry, for your kind words and generous review. I tried to create more questions than answers with this one. Hoping that readers would have to use their own minds to decipher and decide what happens. I intended it to be a stand alone, giving readers a break from the long and drawn out stuff. But so many have asked that I keep it going that, I might have to reconsider. LOL. Much appreciated!

Thank you so much, Sal, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I tried to create more questions than answers with this one. Making readers think and use their own minds to decide what happens. I intended this to be a stand alone, but who knows now that a few have asked that I keep it going. I thought they'd all be worn out with Tucker. LOL. I always appreciate reading your stories and receiving your reviews!

Well glad to see you are back at it. I enjoyed your story so far but bet it's a chapter in a book. If so things are looking good. You like the cops and robbers type of writing I bet. Either way good job.

Thank you so much, J.R., for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I tried to create more questions than answers with this one. Hoping to make readers think and decide what happens for themselves. It was written as a stand alone that leave you hanging. But so many have asked that I keep it going, that I might have to consider it. LOL. I've had withdrawals every day for the last week or so without your posts. Get busy! I need my morning fix. I hope all is well in your world! I appreciate YOU!

Well Ive posted all my books I think. I may post some short stories. We will see. Your Bengals looked good yesterday.

I thought your Cowboys looked much better. They out played the Bengals from start to finish. Congrats on a big win!

That was terrifying, Ric! How easy it would be to frame someone, especially if the nurse on duty is either in on the frame-up, or the doctor is who told her to give him a sedative to 'calm' him. The detectives weren't that bothered even though what Richard told them made a whole lot of sense. They never even thought to question it. Well done, my friend, this was a fabulous story. :)) Sandra xxx

Thank you so much, Sandra, for the extra special six-star review and kind words for a story that was written more to create questions than answers. But it could happen to any one of us any day. And if the authorities think they have a clear cut killer, they stop looking for the guilty party. Glad you liked it. I appreciate reading your stories and your encouraging reviews!

Now you've set us up for your next series, since I assume you don't intend to leave us dangling.

You've done a good job of introducing our character, the first paragraph makes the reader believe that Hoskins is telling the truth.

Good dialogue with the coppers, introducing questions that will need to be answered.

We'll written, Ric. The only thing I wondered about was the detective with a laptop to pull up Facebook. Why would he have a computer with him? He could pull it up on his phone.

Looking forward to the next one:-)

Thank you, Pam, for your kind words and generous review. This story is one of those where I started writing and was done in less than an hour. I intended to create many questions and offer few, if any, answers. Sort of let the readers' minds answer the questions to suit themselves. Hoping they could invision how easily the same nightmare could happen to them. Your question about the laptop to pull up Facebook is one that was answered by a detective friend who goes nowhere without what looks like a woman's handbag hanging on his arm. When I asked why he carried his purse, he said to keep his computer with him. I asked why not just use his phone, he replied to save time and effort, typing faster and it has a bigger screen to share more detailed and clearer information, among other things. Much appreciated!

A great read. Full of suspense and intrigue and mystery. You weave in the background about the witness protection program effortlessly in the discussion, as you did with the facts about the events of last night. Very well written.

Oh no! So this sweet nurse, Patti, is also in on the framing of the poor narrator? Great storytelling, Ric! Lots of action right from the beginning. Now if this were Tucker, he'd find a way to get away!

Thank you so much, Helen, for your extra special six-star review. I tried to create more questions than answers in this one. Letting readers decide what's happening themselves. Is nurse Patti in on the frame or is she just following the doctors instructions. Maybe the doctor is a bad guy. LOL. I'm glad you like it. I appreciate YOU!

Well! Look who has dropped in just in time for my weekly batch of sixes to arrive!

(Actually I had ten reviews to answer and saved yours for last...which ticked my noisy clock past midnight!)

Fortuitous for both of us!

Ah, come ON, Ric! You can't leave this as a "stand-alone."

There are sooooo many directions you can take this!

Zambrano/Hoskins could be guilty as sin! Set up his own fake FB page!

More please!
