Well, that stinks. Where's the rest?

I think this is what happened.

Patty took some blood and had her friend Octavio run it. I think she went back to the chart and ticked the box for a blood test. Orders were orders but something stunk all the way to Cleveland in this scenario. Patty would find out tomorrow if she was right.

Well, if you say so, that's exactly how things would have and should have gone. LOL. Actually, I had big plans for this piece and was going to give it four or five parts, but when there didn't seem to be much interest, I just dropped it. It's kind of like my last chapter of Tucker, I might just drop it right now. Thanks again for another fantastic review. I appreciate YOU!

I know that our stories can run out of steam for us for a multitude of reasons. I sometimes get a good head of steam write my little heart of the, splat, nothing, the story gets as flat as a Macy Days's parade float the day after Thanksgiving. Karen

I always pay a lot of attention to the style of the dialogue. I'm sure you know the type - overhyped writers producing their books like farts from the ass, mainstream and basic, writing pseudointellectual dialogues that, if said aloud in real life, would result in a trip to the mental hospital. Yours is natural, realistic, and sounds precisely like real life, which I absolutely love.

"The last chance to prove my innocence melted away as my consciousness faded."
I want to steal it so bad because it's so good, Ric. I love the not-so-happy-happy endings.

If there were a contest announcing that Martin Scorsese had created an anonymous account on FS, and to win, you have to find his account, I know who'd I accuse.

You wrote to me about street-smarts in one of your reviews once - you were not making this up because the story overflows with it. Tremendous story, Ric.

Hey, Bruce, thank you so much for taking time out to read my old post that pays nothing. I honestly can't even remember this piece, so now I'll have to go back and read it myself. I appreciate your detailed review and kind words. Especially, coming from such a talented writer. There are many of my stories that I'd have rather you read for your first introduction, such as Expect the Unexpected, The Unpredictable Cycles of Life, and others. Again, I appreciate your outstanding review and encouragement. I look forward to reading more of your work soon. :-)

I must have more of this story. Very powerful writing. I think he's innocent, but how in the world is going to prove it. I also have doubts this is a police matter. Something's fish here. A witness protection person would not have ID showing his real name, and he certainly wouldn't be on social media. I look forward to another chapter.

Thank you so much, Yvonne, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. This was intended to be a single chapter and leave readers to make up their own minds. LOL. But since so many want me to expand it, I guess I'll have to. I hope Stewart's surgery went well. I heard he was having it, but haven't heard anything since. I'm glad you liked it, or at least want some answers. I appreciate your encouraging review! Ric

I think it's a wonderful story, and look forward to more of it. Stewart is on the road to full recovery. Thanks for asking. How kind you are.

Amazing story. All your descriptions of the scene made feel I was a part of the story. Your dialogue was compelling that moved the story along to a questionable ending. Will there be another part?

Thank you so much, Tpa, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. This story was meant to have more questions than answers, leaving readers to decide for themselves what happened. The stand alone piece was to give readers a break from my seven-part, Tucker-type series. But, with so many wanting to know more, I guess, I'll have to reconsider. I appreciate your encouraging and generous review! Ric

I think he might be telling the truth. A guy in witness protection wouldn't have ID and a facebook page in his old name. Gotta wonder how that happened, tho he doesn't strike me as a nice guy.

Thank you, Cindy, for your generous review and comments. I tried to create more questions than answers in this story to make readers think for themselves, which looks like you certainly have. This was supposed to be a stand alone, but with so many wanting me to expand the story, I guess, I'll have to reconsider. Much appreciated!

Ok. When are you going to post a continuation for this. If you don't do a continuation then you are a cruel word master. I am drawn to this mystery and have a thirst for answers. Lol. Great start of something larger.

Thanks, Gretchen, for taking time out to read my foolishness. I wanted to create more questions than answers to make readers use their own heads in deciding where this one was going. Plus, I was afraid I was wearing readers out with the seven-part Tucker-type series. It seems there are quite a few wanting more. Now, I just have to decide if they really do, or they are just being nice. LOL. Much appreciated!

Great story Ric but I wanted more at the end. Loved the word guesstimation and also spider-legged cocky prick.
Get working on the sequel. I need more.

Thank you so much, Jen, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I wanted to create more questions than answers with this one, making readers use their own heads to decide where they wanted it to go. And partly, just trying to give you all a break from those seven-part Tucker type series. But with all the people, and especially you, wanting me to expand it, I guess I'll have to rethink things. LOL. It's always great to read your posts and get your reviews! I appreciate YOU! Ric

Hello Ric,
You have beautifully depicted how an innocent person is going to be convicted / punished as a murderer for no fault of his! The sufferer himself doesn't know how this horrible and unfortunate incident occurred!!
IMPRESSIVE phraseology; CAPTIVATING flow throughout from the very beginning up to the end; Just like live description of scenes, situations, and persons.
SUPERB!!!

Thank you so much, RP, for your your outstanding review and kind comments! I tried to create more questions than answers to let readers make up their own minds and decide for themselves what happens. This one was supposed to be a stand alone single chapter, but so many have shown interest in me expanding it, I may have to reconsider. Although, to me, that would destroy the punch in the gut from this helpless ending. It's always a pleasure to read your posts and get your reviews my friend! I appreciate YOU! Ric

    Ric, Most Welcome!
Yes, dear friend! I also thought likewise.
One and half sentence in the END opens the gate for nice expansion.
    Keep writing!!
    With best wishes,

OMG! OMG! Ric, you are not ending the story like that. I was just getting into the groove of reading it, and wham, bam thank you mam it is over. This is a well-written story. You need to add some more to it in another installment. Thanks for making the font size large. The visual fits perfectly. It was a great read, and it left me wanting more.

Thank you so much, Sandra, for your extra special six-star review and kind words.I tried to create more questions than answers to let readers make up their own minds and decide for themselves what happens. This one was supposed to be a stand alone single chapter, but so many, like you, have shown interest in an expansion, I may have to reconsider. I'm glad I could get you in the grove, but sorry to leave you in one of those unfulfilling wham-bam moments. It excites me you want more; especially, after the thank-you-mam miscue. Oh, and thanks for pointing out the silly blunder. You are the first to notice it. Much appreciated! Ric

Well, if your point was to keep the reader on the edge of their seats, hoping for resolution, and instead left with their own imaginations, great work and a major success. Super good job and a majorly interesting read. Could we get a 'follow-up' morning after? I enjoyed the read. ann

Thank you, Ann, for your kind words and generous review. Yes, my whole intention was to create more questions than answers to make readers use their own minds and decide where they wanted to the story to go. This was supposed to be a single chapter to give people a break from my multiple chapter stories. But, I've had so many asking for me to extent it that, I'm starting to reconsider filling in some of the blanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Much appreciated!
