Not only does the thunderbolts roll but also your words when reading your lovely poem out loud.
Seasonal poems are very common on fanstory , so it's hard to come up with something original that impresses the reader.. yet you did just that.
My favourite parts :
silver sabers slash the skyline
thunderbolts TASE
And rolling tremors .
I know you prefer 5-7-5 or less so a naani was a big challenge for you , winning the blue ribbon proves that you have the chops to excel even in other formats.

I am always pleased with any podium placement. Expanding my typical 5-7-5 to enter this contest was not such a big leap. Besides my original in preview mode WAS 5-7-5!

Hmmm. Tase instead of "nuke" ---
Less violent I think!

If I was a criminal and the police were trying to subdue me, I would take the tase(r) over the nuke LOL
I do ?nuke? my milk sometimes for a hot chocolate (-;

I'm all for avoiding nuclear proliferation... Except, of course, for milk...or tea!
(It's so messy to tase those!)
