This is really fascinating! The energy from both of you just sparkles and leaps off the page. Given my own work history, I could connect with so much of your mutual discussion. I, too, have found FanStory a way to get a drink of cool, refreshing water as a writer who hadn't really written for many years. Thank God for this outlet and for each other - the reviewers and fellow writers are the ones who provide the inspiration and stimulation. :)

Excellent interview. That is an accolade for both of you! You, Rachelle, make every question a journey of avid curiosity, blended with admiration and spiced with humor. Michaela keeps pace with you like you are sisters and my face hurts from smiling...
I agree with a previous reviewer who thinks you'd be a natural at podcasting. In fact, I think you and Michaela might want to consider teaming up!
I'll just lay these six stars for the two of you to share (no fighting!) --and then I will RUN to fan Michaela...because, (as usual) I didn't get the memo we had such an entertaining new writer in our midst, and I want IN!
(I did note this repeated (sort of) line in Michaela's response, and I'm not savvy enough to know if it was intentional or not: "We talk about why reading is so important for their lives and brains. I prove, through research I have done, how important reading is to their lives and brains.")
If it was intentional, I will conveniently come back and delete this latter portion of my RAVE review.

Comment from Gloria ....
Loved your opening about the basics of age, weight, reason ... that was funny and got a good laugh from me.
Isn't that interesting. I found FanStory from an advertisement in The Writer too. It just goes to show advertising works, and I think that revelation will be a relief to those in the business.
I absolutely did read Michaela's story "Slashers, Drunks, and a Boot," and I loved it. I can relate to so many aspects of that story.
Excellent input on audiobooks. So how do you hook them up to your vehicle's Bluetooth? A subscription like Spotify?
The nonet was spot on too with the right shape and poetic.
Thank you Rachelle and Michaela. I loved every minute of your interview. :))

Thank you, Gloria, for such a nice schmoozey review. I absolutely loved it. I have audiobooks on my phone, and that is hooked up somehow (magically) to my car's Bluetooth. [Can you tell I didn't do it myelf; the salesman at the dealership did it.] Do you know any kids? They could help you, I bet, the tehno-savvy little know-it-alls...

Thank you for sharing this contest entry interview with this amazing lady. I am going to have to look her up because I am not aware of her. I enjoyed reading and good luck with the contest.

Ahh, my Michaela Moore! You honored her well with this interview, Rachelle. She is such a wonderful talent. The first time I read her, I said to myself and possibly in my review "Where have you been hiding?" She is truly a talent extraordinaire. I loved this interview, as your personality shined through as well. Tastefully done, my friend! Best, JohnC

I'm so glad you already know her work and feel so impressed by it. No surprise there! To read her is to marvel at her. Thank you for this wonderful review and, of course, the additional star. Very much appreciated.

There is a new writing theme, I've been a member of fanstory for ten years now, and have seen many writers come and go, but it's a real eclectic mix now, but many writers are new, and these writers that are fortunate to be interviewed are opening up like nothing similar, in our church there are a lot of testimonies. So in e gets a opportunity to hear the heartbeat of the person, beautifully written Rachelle ,blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy! I had so much fun writing it because Michaela is so spontaneous and open about everything, plus articulate and engaging. Glad you liked it, and I hope you check out her Portfolio.

I do read her from time time and vice versa, there are so many new ones, I try,

I enjoy reading this piece very much because I want to know more about Michaela, a male's name I thought at first. Then when I saw the picture of her, I noticed the extra "a" in the end of her first name. She reviewed my script scene recently and gave me constructive feedback.
Well done.

Yes, Michaela's great that way. She is nurturing while she provides some suggestions but she never makes a person feel "taught" or "instructed," but rather, "helped." I love that about her. She's just so warm and open and friendly. I love that you see her that way, too.
Thanks for such a nice review, Jasmine Girl; very much appreciated. xo

I enjoyed the extensive interview with Michaela Moore.
She is a vivacious character that I enjoyed learning about.
Your interviewer skills are well honed, as you asked perfect questions to draw out her extended answers. Ultimately, allowing the reader to enjoy her musings and to get a glimpse into her personality and her life.
I enjoyed her list of favorite authors and her detailed description of why they are her favorites.
All in all, a great interview and I look forward to visiting her portfolio.

You should do a podcast because you are a funny and down to earth interviewer. I am definitely going to check her out on here. If she pulled that poem out of thin air I can only imagine what she's capable of. Great interview. We're you by chance a reporter?

No, but I'm very nosy and don't hesitate to get into other people's space (did you read my Fly on the Wall post today?...)
I totally appreciate this very encouraging review! Thank you. And definitely check out Michaela's work. She's uncommonly good.
-
The elevator story was the other one I read. Don't see a fly on the wall. And I still can find anything that says become a fan or follow.
-
Yes! That's it. It's from my book entitled A Fly on the Wall Journal. So, as you can see, I am plenty into getting to know (read: intrude on) others!!
