Mutant Frogs" is an excellent fantasy short story in which pollution from the past brings monsters into the present. There are a couple of places where clarification would help. For example, in the ending, mentioning that it was spring would load the situation a bit.

Thank you. Like I said in the footnotes, it was a rush job between other stuff I was doing. I will try to find time to edit tomorrow. Of course, it will be in the contest by then so I don't know if I can. Hugs.

Yeah. Rush jobs are supposed to be for journalists, not poets. But life goes on; merry-go-round, like it or not!

What an excellent story. Things we did years ago seemed to have consequences to them, and who knows what we've done to our environment in the process. What an imaginative, you could call it, "Revenge of the monster mutant fogs." Heh heh, fantastic, I had to check to see if it was fiction, otherwise I might look under the bed, for signs, well done, an excellent entry. Good luck, this is the winner, well done, blessings Roy

Thank you. There really is a pond on the farm my husband and I used to own, and he did drain the chemicals into it. Also, I did find some tadpoles in there just before I left the farm. Nothing had been able to live in the pond for years prior. I did tell my niece, Cindy, that there would be mutant frogs. She thought it was hilarious and told all her friends. So far, the rest is fiction. Hugs
