This is a nice tribute to country music and the AA, BB rhyme scheme you chose works will with it when you spoken out loud. I didn't try to sing it. I would ruin it. With that in mind you may want to add a melody in the background.

Oh my goodness. I thought I was the only one who knew that country lyrists were the best in the world when it came to music. No one can beat them in writing about life's true meaning. Thank you for this magnificent poem.

Jaybird,
This poem about country music could well be a country song!
I like the rhythm, rhyme and content of your poem.
I watch country music tv videos and enjoy the sound very much.
Have a wonderful weekend, Jaybird.
Blessings,
Cindy

Very breezy cheerful write
about loving country music.
My son-in-law loves country
music. There are country
songs I really love, but I lean
towards Contemporary Christian and bluegrass. I do
fondly remember going to a
Garth Brooks concert years
ago. My very best wishes for
the contest. Happy Weekend!

In my younger years, I did not care for Country Music. But as I aged, there were many artists I loved to hear sing. And yes, they tell stories. Good, Bad and Ugly ones.
One day, my husband told me to just sit still and listen to the song that had came on the radio. Well, I did. And I cried like a baby. It was
"Don't Take The Girl," by Tim McGraw.
As I listened, it was as if a movie was playing in my mind.
I can not listen to the song today without crying. Thank you for posting this great story.
