I really enjoyed this ode to country music. I love to listen to the stories country songs tell. Some are sad, sum are quite humorous. The songs are usually very easy to sing, and have the ability to make you happy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Since I love country music, too, I had to pat my foot along with this excellent poem. The rhyme and meter are worth a country song themselves. Like a country song, your poem inspires joy.

That's right up my alley, Jay. Country music and gospel music are my favorites. Each always has a message of some sort. I keep trying to write a song. I can do the lyrics, but the melody escapes me.

I love all kinds of music, country as well. You are right, it's really all about life and love, and usually makes sense. Most everyone can relate. Thank you for sharing this great poem.:)

I often do what you suggest but I have an eclectic taste, and like the music from the 80's, seventies, and especially the sixties, primarily because of Motown. About the only thing I've yet to taste successfully is operatic melodies. I simply do not understand what those fat ladies sing. No ill intent intended

The author's words are uplifting, meaningful, fun, musical, descriptive
and creative. I really liked the theme of this poem. It is filled with excitement and positive activity even a sing along! The poem flows and
connects well. Great poem, Jay!

I listened to a lot of country music when I visited the US and I enjoyed it. Of course this kind of music is never played in the UK, and it made a lovely change as the songs are often about love and heartbreak and always pleasing to the ear. You obviously enjoy this music very much, love Dolly x

Excellent poem about country music.
-good rhymes and meter that don't seem forced.
-Your descriptive words flow well expressing a clear mental image of music.

I do agree with you Bill. Country music has so much feeling and heart. I have been a fan since the big band music faded. I did love the Big Bands that were so popular during WWII. This is well written my friend! Nancy:)
