The stars ARE the night in my opinion. Just take an upward glance on a clear summer's night and what do you see? Billions of stars and one moon. You are so right; God made each and every star to be individual as much as he made us to be individual. We all shine as bright as the stars in God's eyes. He will return. We must be ready at a moment's notice, for no man knows when. What a glorious time that will be to float up within the stars with our Lord.
Very ice, reassuring poem.

Verna,
This awesome poem pertains to everyone under the stars.
The "lesser" stars can be disabled people, subjugated peoples or others whom some people consider inferior.
The sun is an inferior star compared to other massive suns, but I believe it is God's
most important one.
Good luck with this exceptional poem! I think you will do well in the contest.
Blessings,
Cindy

Beautiful poem. The stars are yet another evidence of God's wonderful creative power - and His thoughtful love giving us lesser lights to guide us during the night. Beautiful poem of praise.

Oh Verna, this is positively stunning. I love how you start with the stars and tell of God placing them in the sky as He loved us so to even light our night. But as you compare them to our families and how precious everyone of them are to us, I relate completely. God gave us such love when he endeared us with those special children that we were trusted with their birth, care and then blessed with their children. Oh what a wonderful Heavenly Father we serve. Your poem is breathtaking and I feel blessed by reading it. It truly was a poem filled with fellowship that came to me as I lay in my bed before falling asleep! It doesn't get any better than that my lovely friend! Thank you!

My dear friend, your review warmed me from the inside out. Like you, I'm so thankful God placed us in families. I am blessed indeed to have been married almost 64 years, to have two wonderful children and their families, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. God has been so good to us. I am thrilled that you were blessed in reading my poem. There must be a ribbon from my heart to yours!

This is a truly lovely poem. The words flow like music and the rhymes work beautifully. As you know, I'm not at all religious, but I can still appreciate the thought and message of this poem because of its beautiful imagery and tone. In fact, I usually don't read and refrain from reviewing religious poetry because I feel I don't come at it with a fair perspective. However, I read you poem all the way through. I especially like the lines: "The reason for them all to shine, by every star is known."

This is such a lovely praise poem! It reminds me of Psalm 19 of the heavens declaring the glory of God. Here the stars are declaring the Lord's faithfulness and the trustworthiness of our future with the Lord.

Verna,
I loved this spiritual poem. A beautiful soothing write. Reminds me the the 'Creation' in the first book of Genesis. The rhyming was spot on. The rhythm of each stanza naturally flows into the next. I wondered thou if the lasts word 'night' in the second stanza ought read nights to match the rhyme lights in the second line.
They do not feel inferior,
Though they're called lesser lights.
They fill the space God made for them
To brighten darkened night(s).
God bless,
Eugene

There will be no more doctor visits for all the viruses, bacterial infections, cancer, monkey pox and COVID-19. We will feel no pain. As the word Heaven defines happiness, peace and joy. Pure and clean surroundings.
No more wars or shootings. Thank you for the great post. It will be love and peace.

Out of sixes, Verna, but your offering is most deserving.
Beutiful rhythm and cadence.
Gentle phrasing that resonates with this reader.
Lovely when read aloud.
Thank you for sharing!
