Women can be awful. Usually, I get along with them just fine, but this group seemed particularly awful. I still go; I just always get there early!!

I had to google hazing to get exactly what 'hazing'. But it's something the army indulges in with new recruits, although it's been curtailed to a large degree now, but when I was young, it happened in my first work experiences, but one was considered a woose if one complained, humiliation is part early group or 'gang' dynamics. I had to google hazing to get exactly what 'hazing'. But it's something the army indulges in with new recruits, although it's been curtailed to a large degree now, but when I was young, it happened in my first work experiences, but one was considered a woose if one complained, humiliation is part early group or 'gang' dynamics. You go, girl! Seriously enjoyed this writing because let's face it, there were a lot more of those of us who somehow didn't measure up than there were (or are) of the "perfect people" who get their daily ego inflation by making others cringe.
Your point is well taken. God-forbid you spoke up and call those sorority saints on their "Social intercourse" question. Rule one in all bullying and hazing is those who inflict discomfort do not like to be shown up!
I was a smart kid. Not necessarily a shining attribute in elementary school, and not much better in college. I still have memories that haunt me. Things I'd wished I had said back then.
I've got to tell you, Rachelle, if age has gifted me anything it is a new and courageous way of confronting the "judgers" of this world...
I hooted as I read your ending! Nobody "Puts Baby in a corner" (a line from Dirty Dancing I love)--
And NOBODY is going to stop the likes of you (or me!) from strutting out stuff--ever again!
Love your final line! I want that as a bumper sticker!
