This is really cool. I like the original presentation, the occasional alliteration and the way you've used words so creatively.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

Thank you very kindly Heather, for your comments.

This poem, When Tis Best to Write?, seems to suggest that the pen to paper at any moment could release a torrent of ideas that can be accepted or rejected and then again before words are correctly assembled.

Bill, how many rewrites does it take to write a perfect stanza ? I say, I shall never know.
Comment from Kayliegh
On wow, I really liked this poem! It was really fast paced and kind of--boppy for a lack of a better word. The writing and wording was great! Great poem, you should definitely be proud!

A creative poem that examines the creative process of a poet. The rhyming and presentation are terrific. Very well done. I enjoyed reading this poem. Good luck in the contest.

You describe a creative process well. Often all it takes is pen, ink and inspiration (smile) to write. And of course, we need a presence of our muse.
Loved your rendition of the contest theme. I think it will do well.
Great imagery, visuals and artistic presentation. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks for the good wishes.

This is a unique one, Jim. Great theme for the poem. I was hoping for the continuation of the "...ink" rhyme scheme, but managed not to have a bad spell.

This poem sounds like Dr. Seuss's work a lot. I enjoy reading funny or even silly poems. It's a great exercise to use rhyming in them, too. I like many lines in this poem:
Is poetry an art? Yes, I think.
Finding words that truly link.
Well done and good luck.

Super cute and so true to life. To write when in the mood is a blessing. Sometimes with me, the words just aren't there. Then when I least expect, such as in the middle of a good nights rest, they are! So clever, your play on words! Excellent!

-Very nice artwork and presentation.
-I like the formatting of your poem, too.
-It flows well with effective imagery and rhyme.
-I like the third verse with the "snow white dove"
and the question about poetry and art.
-A very good concluding verse, as well.
-I enjoyed reading it.
