What greater mess to write about than two cute little tots making quite a mess? I loved the artwork involving children and thought the poem was really nice. Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you for sharing this writing prompt entry with us. I have a two-year-old granddaughter. Ever since she became mobile, she finds water and plays in it. LOL I enjoyed reading.

I so appreciate your kind review and words my friend, Barb! As always you are very sweet. Yes, the girls seem to love the water almost as much as the boys and I am sure you raised a few boys that loved it too. Thank you again my friend!

I did, I couldn't keep my boys out of water. I used to say as a first grader teacher, "Little boys, can't behave in the bathroom." There was always a lot of water play.

Oh Barb, you were a teacher too? I am amazed how many of us there were!

This is a charming and delightful read of a once little boy who loved to play in the water, be it a bird bath or even a glass of water. At least it was not mud!
I enjoyed the read and wish you well in the contest.
Best wishes
Mary

Hello Friend,
You have TRANSPARENTLY depicted your grand kids' addiction to water, and thereby have hit the target 'A Mess!'
Lucid as well as PERFECTLY matching the theme phraseology, smooth flow throughout from the beginning to the end with LOVELY rhyming scheme.
Picture enhances depth and beauty of the poem.
BEST OF LUCK in the contest.

I really enjoyed reading your story, it is a fun write and a very good entry for the competition. It is amazing how much more pacience we have with our grandkids than we had with our kids. Good luck.Jen.

Oh Jen, thank you so much for such a lovely review and comments about my slight exaggeration of my grandkids. Not the addicted to water part, but the fact that I usually kept a close enough eye on them so they ddn't get into so much trouble. Thanks again dear friend!

This poem is delightful. The children pictured are adorable, I completely understand where they're coming from. I loved water too when I was small. Best of luck in the contest. :)

Thank you for such lovely comments regarding my little buggers who loved their water. Yes, like you said we maybe all loved the water, but thankfully my grandson all these years later is fishing in the water instead of making messes. Thank you my friend for being so sweet!

I understand! I have to watch my seventeen-month-old who feels she must play with the dog's water every time she comes. There's always a mess, and wet clothes, as she is very fast! Best wishes for your entertaining and humorous poem!

Cute! My kiddos were water babies too...

Now their own kids seem to have inherited both the water gene and the mischeif gene!

Heh heh. Live long enough and you get to see what goes around comes around!

Ha, ha, ha, GrandmaPoet. Kids do the darndest things, and they somehow know just when to strike: Of special note:

Your cousin Kenzie, also three, who followed you around
You two could sneak away and never make a single sound

(That's kids for you, and when things get quiet, you know that there into some kind of troublemaking.)

Also:
But then I heard some giggles, I knew trouble was a brewing
The bed was soaked with water; could these two kids be a fooling

(Yeah, Grandma, they were really enjoying messing with you. They
got you good!)

A fun poem that made me smile and laugh. As this is a writing prompt entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer

Awe thank you Margaret. I just got back from changing the picture because I knew I had another hilarious one I'd like you to see, if you have a minute. Actually I put three of them together and goes much better w the poem.
I thank you for the lovely review and comments my friend. If you do look, please let me know what you think!

Hello author, I did look at your new photos. Ohhh! Those faces are adorable. I could just eat them all up, but then they would be all gone. Lol. Thanks for the smiles.

Kenzie was supposed to be the look out while he was playing in the water. You can tell that look on her face was complete shock, like ooops caught again. Thanks again my LTSOTU!

My this is fun and sweet, mystery writer. These days are the good old days for our grandchildren. I think mine are going to shrivel up from being in the water so long, yet they pop back to normal. Fabulous entry and so beautifully presented.

Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the upcoming contest,
Sally Law :))

Oh Sally you are so sweet. Thank you for your lovely review and comments.
I just changed the picture because I knew I had one that she was the lookout for him as he played in the water and it is funny so if you have a minute to look.
