What a fresh read on a powerful topic such as this. There are so many directions you could have gone but you really did nail the "different" times. Would you say you were stating when as in giving an explanation or giving permission to cry? Either way...intriguing topic

The rhyming emotions pour tears all over the place and on a lover's face. All your choices of what to go where were excellently done!

I found your poem moving and worthy of a six star review.
I never got married or had kids so I did not see myself in those examples mentioned.
On the other hand when I m troubled and speak to our Lord I shed tears.
Often I m also overwhelmed to tears by all the beauty he has created for us.
I cry seeing all the videos of abused pets that just want to be loved and give love to us humans.
I cry for the children that in silence are dying as I speak of famine , are victims of abuse ,are exploited in the sex industry etc.
I cry for Mother Nature that is so generous but that we continue to exploit.
I could connect to your last verse about being alone , I shed many tears growing up in boarding schools away from home and my parents.

Touching, and sums up tearful times, I cry over everything, when happy, sad or emotional, I can't help it. Others don't do that, so I can totally relate to your poem. Thea picture adds to your poem, but the words are so powerful, they can stand alone.

Yes, job can bring up tears. Sadness can cause tears to flow down like rivers.
