This is a great description of a storm. I love rain and thunder storms, we haven't had one for awhile and I miss it. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest. :)

This nonet, Summer Storm Rages, has the proper nine to one descending syllable lines and captures the scene of man's attempts to grow facing nature's show of force.

People need to read this one closely. It isn't just a nice nonet rhyme; you are exposing a dire problem facing many grain farmers across America. While some think rain is the answer to growth, the rains you speak of here are just the opposite.

Nice message.

Perhaps it harder than it sounds to create a nonet for what I have reviewed are not shoe in for a vote but yours about farming is as good as some of those posted today. Good luck..

I feel your poem, it reflects the devastation so common these days. Climate change is a real thing, some powers that be, rather line their pockets instead of facing the problem. I really like your entire presentation.

This is an extremely well-written description of a violent storm. I particularly liked the part about how the wind ravaged the wheat. All credit to you for the fact that you managed to contain your poem in the restrictive format of a nonet. Kate xx

This is a beautifully stated Nonet poem. I like the descriptive language throughout this poem. You took a thunderstorm and made the reader see it and made it poetic. Great sensory details. You go beyond just using color. You use simile the winds are like invisible scythes
ruthlessly cleaving. The visual fits perfectly. It's well-written and well-presented. You have a good entry. Good luck!

Your ambient words set the scene here as the thunder rolls through the hills and blocks the sun. Your descriptive words bring this nonet to life, a pleasure to read, love Dolly x

Ciao poet!

Love storms and where I live they are menacing.

This is the part that earned my six star review.

winds once softer than feathers
assault stalks of red-tipped wheat
like invisible scythes

Very descriptive..

Keep safe!
