That's the spirit. A little rain never hurt anyone. In fact, you probably played in it as a kid. No umbrellas needed then. Any day I wake up is a beautiful day, rain or shine.

Oh I love going out in rain storms! Its my favorite kind of weather. What a lovely poem. I bet all those umbrella users get jealous of all the fun she's having and decide to splash in the rain themselves!

I like that you go from being upset at the weather turning against you to a sense of joy in the beauty of nature - sometimes making light from dark is just a matter of perspective :-)

This is my absolute favorite entry to the acrostic contest. It is clearly written. The rhyme scheme works. The visual with the falling rain is stunningly perfect. Then you provided a second visual too. Jeez! You overachiever. LOL You have done everything you can do to make this entry the best. Where did you get a visual with movement? I must have some for my poems. You have my vote!!

Thank you for this exceptional review and your kind words. I must admit that my daughters help with putting the pictures on...I'm not that computer savvy. :) when you look for images, you need to type in gif's. They're moving pictures that I think you put on the same as regular images. Thanks again for this wonderful review. :)

Nice poem for the contest. You worked the pictures into the body of the poem in a very artistic manner and they supplement the words nicely. A vivid image of a person rejoicing in the rain, carefree and ecstatic with gratitude and praise.
