You are very welcome, Tina. I lost my mother quite a while ago, and I found out more about her after she passed away that she had never mentioned.

Oh, that happened to you, too? How interesting! I was young so I did not appreciate her then as much as I have over the years using what she poured into me.

Yes, it did. I think when we are young, we look at our parents as old and out of touch. But it depends on when you grow up, too. Parents seemed older back in the day:)

Thank you, Roy. God carried us all through that time and we realized how much she had taught us in a short time and we thank God for her. Someday I will write about all the deaths in my family and how it shaped me for the better. At least I think it did, haha. God's so good!

Great poem for the contest. Her final breath gently sailed her home--very poetic. I remember my mother turning toward a window and sighing her last breath. A breeze blew the trees outside at the same time. This poem resonates with my Mom's last breath. Thanks for sharig.
