Shauna,
This is a well written story. It shows how you became you. You lived her life in a different age, it seems. It must have been weird to read your life story in that eulogy.
Good luck in the contest

So great to discover those relatives who clarify our own lives as we search to connect with the past. I can understand the "close distance" that families grow up in.

That is quite a fascinating story, with an uncanny resemblance between the two of you, two generations apart. Your interesting story is well-written, and I send best wishes for the contest.

Summer camps always sound so enthralling but home sickness is a real debilitating illness. I know, it happened to me in 6th grade camp.

Selectric typewriter, now there is a blast from the past.

Just a couple of suggestions:

This entire article would benefit greatly by using a larger and more readable font.

Para 5, 1st sentence: CONSIDER (woman) instead of (women)
Para 6, 2nd sentence: Remove one space between (through) and (sheet)
Para 6, 5th sentence: (dropwaist) should be (drop waist)

That's a wonderful discovery. Someone had already trailblazed for you.

Nice story.

That is a very interesting story. It is amazing how things like that pop up in family histories. I think that there is something involved here that is more than coincidence.

Excellent entry for the An Ancestor Story contest.

It must had been exciting to kno you had s much in common with your aunt Bonnie, even both attending the same college.

I appreciate how detailed and knowledgeable is your story. You put in a lot of time and research.

I enjoyed reading your story. It moved along nicely and the plot was easy to understand and follow. Good character development.

Well done, my friend.

This is a very well-written story of your ancestry. It is amazing how closely your great aunt matched your own accomplishments. It is also a shame that the two halves of the family had so little time spent together. Best of luck in the ancestry contest.

Dear Carol, thank you so much for taking the time to read and review my piece. It really was fascinating to learn, and also sad we were worlds apart. Maybe it isn't that uncommon. It does become complicated as families grow.

Sending lots of good wishes your way!

This is very interesting that you found a family member that was like you in so many ways. It is hard to find out much about what people no longer alive were like. It it good that someone bother to write about her. To often people fade from everyone memory once that are deceased. I enjoyed reading your story.
