This 5-7-5 verse is timely and relevant. I am currently listening to the news and I am in disbelief at the weather crisis this world is facing.
My heart goes out to those in Europe. They have no solutions available to quell the extreme heat.
I live in Los Angeles, so I am accustomed to 100's all summer. We have the appropriate cooling system to combat the temperature. However, the people across the globe are not as lucky.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for reviewing. Yes, in Australia we are used to temperatures well over 100, even up to 118, but In England they are not used to this. At present we are trying to cope with several record-breaking floods, all catastrophic. Don't see how anyone can deny climate change!

Yes, climate change is real!

A timely 5-7-5 poem. Oh, how I wish folks would realize what we are doing to nature. This poem is colorful, and I like that. The message is clearly presented, and the font is large and easily read. Good luck in the contest.

Isn't it astounding that the things you list have all happened at one time or another in one place on earth? What I mean is that some locations just seem to have all the bad luck. No matter how intelligent man becomes he will never be competition for Mother Nature.
Scary but true verse.

Thanks Gary, you are right! There are some places which just get hit time and again, and the results are just heart-breaking. Thanks for reviewing.

Nicely done 5-7-5 giving Mother Nature a strong implication that we need some 'normal' weather. Everyone needs a break from severe hear and stormy weather.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy

Yes, I've heard in Britain and Europe they're getting temperatures that are far more common in our neck of the woods, than theirs, our homes are designed for heat, there's aren't, coolers are rare there, beautifully written, yes, creation is rebelling, blessings, Roy

Interesting entry for the 5-7-5 writing prompt contest.
Your syllables count is off. You have 4/7/5 (fire is one syllable) and connection between lines can be improved.
Good presentation and imagery. flow can be improved. You used descriptive words that paint a clear mental picture.
Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for reviewing, Gypsy. In my country "fire" is two syllables, which I put in the notes. It is more a cultural variation than an error. I appreciate your suggestions.

I think I know who you are. A star with sufficient energy to start a fire down there under (clue) with nothing more than a breath. Hopefully, you are in a fire-free zone.

Thanks so much Tom. We had our worst fires ever in 2019-2020.

It's sad to admit that I gave up using 'fire' as two syllables because so many reviewers told me I was wrong (it's those soft connective sounds like 'ya' that some accents don't seem to pronounce), so it's lovely to see it being used properly, lol :-)
That aside, I loved your piece addressed to the outbursts of anger we see from nature recently, and yes - surely, it's time for a moment of calm to we can try to help as best we can (in every sense).

Thanks so much Mike. I appreciate your review.
Yes, that's a pet peeve of mine - when reviewers tell me I am "wrong" to spell or pronounce things according to my (and your) own country's spelling and pronunciation rules. Cultural variations are not wrong, they are just different. There's a contest coming up about peeves. Lol.
