Congratulations on your one thousandth post. Very nice Haiku. The really big falls do sound a little like thunder. I'll bet there are a few trout in that stream.

Thank you so very much Paul. I love waterfalls and can always be inspired by their movement and sounds. So glad you liked this one!! I didn't know it was going to be my 1000 post, or I might have tried for something a bit longer. LOL. Thanks again.

A hiaku that captures sight as well as sound! I love waterfalls. When you think of thunder, Niagara Falls comes to mind. Lovely picture. And congrats on your milestone!

The author's words are filled with sound, water, beauty are descriptive and
creative. I enjoyed the read of these words especially the last line.
How creative to state "the song of water" the poem became visual for me.
The artwork is beautiful and compliments the words of this poem well.

Congratulations on milestone post 1000. That is quite a feat. I love the picture that goes along with this haiku. The poem flows nicely, mirroring the image of the cascading thunder and the song of water. Well done.

I just about passed on commenting since Haikus give so little to comment on, and then the milestone number appeared. That's a bunch. Have you shared all that you write or specific ones? I am over 2500 written in the five years since moving here and on my way to 200 on FS. I have a challenge finding contest for my style of writing. You do great. Congrats.

Great job with your haiku! "The song of water" is the perfect satori for this theme of the "cascading thunder" which is what a waterfall sounds like. Best wishes in the contest!

Oh yes indeed, we all seemed to perceive water in the same way, the irrepressible source of life, that sings its life giving song all over the earth, it's amazingly restful with its melody. Beautifully written Melissa, and good one 1,000 posts, well done, blessings Roy
