Thinking metaphorically is not easy. Poets have to practice seeing how things are related. I can truly understand the Speaker's despair when he can't conjure up one. I like the use of internal and end rhyme. Rod

Thanks, Rod. Rhyming is easy for me. I sometimes have trouble with the words in between.

You have the summer to enjoy getting things done around the house. Cutting grass, washing windows. Cleaning out the garage. Those things are important to get done before another winter. As you work, you should come up with stories to write about. Thank you for sharing.
