I like this nature 3-5-3 poem. The syllable count is accurate. The font size is easy to read. The message is beautifully worded. The visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

Oh, now THIS entry feels like music to me...and I don't mean that as a pun. The music teacher in me feels the melody here. in a very big way. REALLY well done, Mystery Poet! I bet you've got a winner here! Good luck.

Thank you for your encouraging comments. I'm a music lover as well. Sorry, I never became accomplished on an instrument. I feel music is a great means of expression.

I have never once in thirty years as a voice, flute and piano teacher ever heard anyone say, "I'm so glad I quit taking music lessons." Instead, they say exactly what you did: that they regret not having become proficient. Not to sound like a buttinsky...but you are NEVER too old to take it up. I'm serious! One of my all-time best students was a 75-year-old woman who had always wanted to take piano lessons but her parents had never been able to afford them. She was SO enthusiastic and conscientious!! Give it some thought. As you mentioned, it is a WONDERFUL means of expressing oneself!!

I do have a keyboard. You have convinced me to take it out again.

YOU HAVE JUST MADE MY DAY!!!!!! How's your supply of music? I have a trove...and I share. Name what you need, and I would be more than happy to send it your way.

Thanks so much. I have a couple of boxes of sheet music. However, I may take you up on your offer at some time.

This is an excellent 3-5-3 poem for the nature contest
with excellent imagery of winter and the sounds on the wind.
Good choice of photograph.
Nicely done.
Good luck in the contest.

This is one of the few things I like about winter--tinkling wind chimes as icy branches sing. I like your use of onomatopoeia (tinkling) and the assonance in tinkle, wind and winter. Rod
