Excellent poem!!
The phraseology is suburb!!
The metre creates a ribbonlike cadence lacing through the carefully chosen words.
The sensory details construct a delicate bridge for the reader to cross and connect with the poet.
Well done!

This is a wonderful poem indeed. You were inspired by the picture and that lead you to write a wonderful poem. I loved it. It is so very well written. All best, Ulla:)))

you nailed this complicated rhyming poem. I like the refrain and the overall message of following your dreams including the impossible ones. I did and it made all the difference in the world.

I love ekphrastic poem for the picture this challenge. You matched your poem and picture nicely.

This was nicely rhymed...didn't sound forced.

I like the presentation and picture of the dew drop, it was a delight to see.

This is a very well written tale of how easily our dreams, and disappointments can shape our lives, our hearts and our thought processes. Well told in this poetic format, JLR.

We all have our dreams and things we aspire to and hope that our dreams come true. If the dreams are impossible then we can fantasise about a life we have no change of living and this can be destructive, a fine write, love Dolly x

I believe that your soft, lovely poem warns of getting carried away with one's fantasies as they will surely frustrate by never becoming realities. I have known that truth in love, in career and in golf. Fortunately, at age 74, too much hurts to think about anything else!

Reese, I can agree I use a rescue club much more frequently with my age. 😒😒

I prefer my foot wedge; helps keep my handicap fractionally below 20.

An interesting post, and quite complex with the domino format. I wondered if the last stanza's lines 2 and 3 are permitted to be the same words as lines 1 and 4 of the first? Otherwise, I found it developed the theme well, with dreams and potential nightmares interwoven.

Hi Wendy, I took poetic liberty on this opportunity to merge the lines as they worked well for the fourth line in the stanza as the twist to the narrative.

I see that you wrote of some things are impossible to come true but sometimes the impossible dream becomes possible. Excellent work! Thank you for sharing!
