I realize going through your portfolio that I have reviewed several of your poems. I can see why this short 5-7-5 poem was recognized. It is well-stated. However, I find the text is too small and needs to be enlarged to be more prominent. I would also center it, and perhaps make it a color. Once I saw the line about faith in the author's notes. the visual made sense. I like this short piece.

Amen, and isn't this the truth! It's when life is tossing us about and we must need to believe that, at times, we wonder if maybe God's attention is elsewhere. It's not! We're all his children and He watches over every one of us! Love this simple statement of faith even when it's difficult!

You penned a well-written Faith 5-7-5 poem. Hopefully the answer will be more enlightening. We all pray for a better world. Somehow our current legislators can't and will not stand together to solve some of our country's pressing and difficult economic, environmental, and social issues. They should read your entry!

Yes, these are quite exasperating times. I was saying to someone else, earlier, that more times than not these days, I feel like Alice, this is Wonderland, and I've fallen down the rabbit hole!

Thank you for sharing this writing prompt with us. Yes, waiting for God's answer is extremely hard. I have no problem giving God my problems, but when the waiting gets hard, I tend to grab them back. Thank Heavens God showers us with grace.

And the younger you are, the harder it might be TO wait, right? (Unless you're my husband, who's a grown-up and still has trouble waiting a lot of the time. hahaha. But the teacher in me finds that quality irresistible, whether in children or adults. I call it "exuberance.")
