Hi Ulla. I love sonnets too and have always thought they needed to be about abstract themes of love, glory and death, but I found myself writing this in sonnet form about halfway through the process... LOL. Who knew that would happen? I was focused on the content. Thank you, sweet Ulla!!

Thank you for sharing this! I have been poeting on here for only a few years, off and on due to busy-ness, but I have time now to seriously dive in and learn more than just rhyming poems! I searched internet for a poetry workbook, but I like your idea much better. I can't wait to start learning from the talented writers on here. Thank you for the encouragement. It's exactly what I needed:)

I am sure this will be most helpful, especially to newer members who bare not aware of the treasure lying in there just waiting to be copied or used as an example to write this poem and the detailed author's note was an excellent and helpful idea.

I invite you to have I look at a poem I posted earlier on this morning, it's called: Reindeer Walker Joik.
