I gave this 4 stars because it seemed to fit the requirements of a Haiku in terms of syllables, but I noticed and I am not sure if the last line is supposed to have a closing quote marks. Over all I liked the poem it was quaint and simple and reflected the theme of the sun, the children and ice cream.
