This is so true. Thoough writers most probably started out as readers and went there in previous books. If we could all afford to go everywhere books take us is would be great.

Thank you for your kind review and generous rating. One 'what came first' sidenote: even though writers started out as readers, we were reading what a writer had experienced first. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Thank you for your comment. I loved it!

Nice poem for the contest. I love the last line about writers go first, their imagination is the spark that kindles the imagination of the reader. A kind of philosophical poem.

I enjoyed your 3 line poetry entry. It's concise and profound. We writers get dissed, though, in the movie arena. Writers, who enabled the whole movie process to get started with their imaginative ideas, are low on Hollywood's totem pole.
