Yes it does. I googled it, and saw - you might be able to choose a picture if you google "Parrot's Beak flower" into your search engine. Mind you, the image of the parrot is stunning! Best wishes for your original and creative entry.

Thanks so much for the review and suggestion. I will check more into using images from Google--it may take a while, though. I need to get more accomplished on computers.

Parrots can do immense damage with their beaks. Your poem is expressive and descriptive. I know you couldn't find a picture of the flower, but--for
ME, just an opinion, obviously--seeing the parrot is a bit distracting.

You made me smile here, those mean petals are colourful and like velvet and it sounds like these flowers have vibrant colour, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Oh yes indeed, they look like hooks, I wouldn't like to be hanging from them. They can consume hard shelled food very easily, as they skilfully take them apart, beautifully written my friend, an excellent post, well done, blessings and good luck, Roy

The author's words are interesting, educating, descriptive and creative. I found the first two lines flow and connect well. The last line say it all! I actually looked up this flower online and saw how it resembles the parrots beak! The artwork goes well with the theme and words of the poem.

That's a new one on me so I had to go and look it up for the visual comparison - that's awesome! I love the way nature evolves - presumably, this is a defensive trait for the plant. Really enjoyed your piece :-)

What a stunning close-up to reinforce your poem! We have a flower in our garden a bit like that called The Bird of Paradise. I wonder if that is the same thing.

Hi! Thanks for the review and all the stars. I appreciate that. Goodness, but you were up early in the morning. In answer to your question--no, Parrot's Beak is not the same as The Bird of Paradise. Have a happy Fourth.
