Whew! What a heart-thumping chapter! Well, it was looking good starting with a MacGyver-style ingenuity for Tucker's escape, then poor Heavy was forced into helping. I don't even want to imagine how the thugs' bodies were disposed and the barrels etc. But it's good to have a friend in flying places but it seems that he narrowly escaped getting killed. Now what will they do since their hideaway has been found out? I guess we stay tuned until your muse strikes again! Thanks for the exciting escape part!

Thank you so much, Helen, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I've been trying to end this story for three chapters and the farther I go the harder it gets. LOL. I wasn't expecting much of a turn out on the 4th of July and for the 5th part of this story, but right now I'm like a little kid in a candy store. Excited and thankful for of you talented writers who've taken time to offer your encouragement. I appreciate YOU, every day!

I didn't want to stop reading once I started, although I haven't followed this since the beginning. This segment was packed with action and suspense. Thank you for the read.
Best wishes,

Thank you so much, Leather, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. Honestly, I think it's hard to pick up on the full scope of the characters built throughout brick after brick from chapter one. I wish you have been around, I think (hope) you would have liked it even better. But for you to take time at part-5 makes your encouragement all the more special. Much appreciated!

Well Ric although I hate violence. I am really enjoying this fast paced story and am very curious about how it will end, I wait with bated breath. Great writing.

Thank you so much, Jen, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I don't know what will happen by the end of the month, which is a long time away, and people tend to forget about what happens in the first couple weeks. LOL. I'm just happy for the kindness and encouragement of you and those I read and enjoy every day. I always appreciate YOU!

Thank you, Rambo. This is thrilling writing, number one; and two, suspense wound tight with surprises. Your characters are real, rough, and tough as they battle the bad guys.

A six for today. Sending you my best as always,

Thank you so much, Sal, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I'm not yet to writing your caliber of mystery and intrigue, so I just throw in action and disguise everything else in blood and guts. LOL. It's the encouragement of you and those I read and learn from every day that means the most. I appreciate YOU!

I'm hoping this doesn't end, Ric! Fantastic chapter! Tucker's escape was brilliant and his shooting Heavy was an intense scene. I loved this part/5. I hope it doesn't let you end it! Haha. Great write!

Thank you so much, John, for your kind words and generous review. I don't like writing all these parts and have been trying to end this for three chapters. LOL. I'm just glad for those of you I read and learn from every day are still taking time out to read my foolishness. I appreciate YOU!

Wow. More and more this wonderful work reminds me of the Saturday morning cinema sessions we used to go to when I was between seven and ten. The cinema was just across the street from the house, so me and my brother were allowed to go without our parents. We felt so grown-up. There were always funnies, but especially the episodic action serial. Hard- and fast-hitting, running from one cliff-hanger to another, and so action-packed we were kept breathless. Your story is just like that. Thank you so much for transporting me back so many years. Kate xx

Man oh man, you sure do know how to write exciting chapters. This action filled chapter was both exciting and realistic. Some escape/rescue adventures can seem unreal, because the exploits seem impossible. The actions you describe are indeed possible to someone with the adequate amount of strength, training and determination. This is an exciting and very pleasing chapter. Why does the story have to end ever?

Thank you so much, Nomi, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I've been trying to end this story for three chapters, it just won't let me. LOL. I don't like to keep writing chapter after chapter about the same things, normally. Plus, they have to be posted closer together so people don't forget what happened earlier, and as you know, I don't like to post very often. I'd rather read those of you that I enjoy reading every day. I can't thank you enough, my friend, and I don't make friends easily. Your character and encouragement have shined like a blazing star since day one of meeting you. I appreciate YOU!

Wow! Tucker is a bad mother (shut your mouth) LOL! Talk about a one-man wrecking ball. He took on the kidnappers with no mercy. I really loved this chapter, Ric. I think Tucker needs a book two.

Thank you so much, Amahra, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I don't like to write books, just short, short stories about different subjects. LOL. I've been trying to end this one for three chapters, it just won't let me. I'm just thankful that you talented writers can keep sitting still for more of my foolishness. I appreciate YOU!

"Speeding away, a cacophony of pinging gravel rang from underneath the car as it wafted a cloud of dust behind."

This is the kind of narrative that puts the reader in the story and allows him to "be there."

Although I've come late to the party - this is the first installment that I've read - I look forward to catching the ending. It's like watching an episode of MacGyver!

Thank you so much, Pam, for your kind words and generous review. The characters are built in stages from chapter one, every chapter a brick in a wall, so I'm just happy that you took time to read chapter five and weren't bored to tears. Much appreciated!
