I embrace the concept of standing tall and inheriting from our Father.
I related that to our spiritual Father as well as our biological Father. All the best to you in the contest.

A thought provoking poem using the required syllable count. Not sure if I can whole-heartily agree as it hints on man needing to be worthy of the requirements to inherit his Father's blessing(if we are talking of our Heavenly Father). But disagreeing on the topic has nothing to do with how well the poem is written. Very nice flow and well executed.

Wow, this is very eclectic. nice and flowing with words that plain match your theme about men. Men do need to stand tall, i know of a few who don't seem to care. 'it hurts too when you cant count on one. thanks for sharing this.

Very deep! You left me reeling over these awesome words of wisdom. Super great message here. If only mankind would toss out the garbage and rise above, but after thousands of years, people still don't get it. Great words to hand on the wall so as not to forget who we can be if we try. Love this!

I suppose it is common for us menfolk to use the measure of our father as the height of that success we can hope to aspire. And then, when he arrives at that vaunted level he knows he has risen to the level of his father. Good luck in the contest.
