Your words show what the all of what the human race should do. "Lifeline" is a perfect one word last line that sums up the preceding lines. Excellent poetic form and use of words that creates a good feeling.

The cinquain is an interesting form - building as it goes, then release for a final thought. I think you've used it effectively here, using the build as layers of description, then the final line as an interpretation of the previous lines. Great stuff :-)
