A sad search for the right partner until frustration forces you to search no more but to ask only the right question. Very ingenious. I liked it and it reads so easily. Good job.

I like your using dandelion to decide love or love him not.

I suppose the way to look for Mr Right is to meet more people. It is a good way to show different characters of your dates.

Thank for sharing.
Good luck to your contest.

This is cute and silly as you say in the line above the title. It is fun to read but I have one slight problem with the beginning of this poem. When you tore off the petals of a Dandelion I take offense to this. See, I love all plants and animals, and tearing a plant is wrong in my book. They feel just as we do and so you ought to be careful how you hurt a plant or animal. Thank you for sharing this delightful poem and take care to not hurt plant life.

Thanks Jesse, but I made sure I wrote in the description by the title, that it was completely fictional and just feeling silly that morning. I wanted it to sound ridiculous, so I thought who would ever pull apart a dandelion, let alone husk a cob of corn to find out if someone loved them? Actually I have been married for 48 years and don't believe I ever bought into the ritual of such a stupid theory. However it was the prompt so thats why I made it as silly as I could. Besides my husband would shoot me if he saw me spreading dandelion around to Make more weeds for him to have to kill.
Thanks for your review on my poem my friend as I truly appreciated your feedback.

Finding the right guy takes patience and determination not to settle for someone who is not worthy. The search can take years, a fun post, very entertaining, love Dolly x

This poem, He Loves Me? Or Maybe Not., presented in ten rhyming couplets, takes a hard line on suitors who do not make the probability cut.

Your poem is on topic with the questions and doubts raised about whether he lives or not. The metre is a little bumpy and irregular at times but overall it's a fine entry. I wish you success!

I enjoyed your poem of "he loves me, he loves me not." I like the thought of only asking "does he love me" and eliminating the "he loves me not." Thanks for sharing!

The story here is great, starting from the famous daisy rhyme and finding ways to deal with unsuitable and perfect candidates for love. My only problem with this is that it's flow could be a bit smoother.

Thanks so very much Katherine! I understand what you mean about the flow. I even had to go back and get my rhythm right and then it seemed to work for me. I appreciate so very much your kind review and words my friend.

I love it. This is a very reasonable and honest consideration.
I only question the resolution. How does a petal-less daisy answer that question?
Best wishes and good luck.

Hi Wayne, here are your answers:
3rd from last stanza- Stop asking if "he loves me not" that part I think I'll silence
Last stanza- only ask if "he loves me" until there are no more
Then I know I'll have the answer I've been waiting for.
Hey I'm a woman and we are not always that easy to understand my friend. Haha! Now I want to thank you my very dear friend for your awesome review, kind words and most generous six stars. They are appreciated more than I can possibly say. You are such an awesome friend!!!!!!
